Some Gackt Facts:
::When he was young, he drowned in the Sea of Okinawa. This awakened latent psychic abilities (he could see and feel things and sometimes he got possessed).

Gackt had a pretty traumatizing childhood filled with a strict upbringing, near death experiences, and an uncontrollable sixth sense that all but drove him utterly insane. He did spend some time in a mental hospital. He tried to tell his parent what he was seeing/feeling...but they pretty much blew him off. He lost trust in his parents because of this. He is very competitive, and because of this, he excels at everything he does. In an interview, when asked about his sexuality, he said that gender isn't important when it comes to love, so one could probably take that as if he is bisexual (he said that he didn't care if that's how he's perceived). There are a lot of rumours floating around about why he left Malice Mizer. It comes down to that the band wanted to take a break after the last tour, but Gackt didn't want to stop. Some words were exchanged, and in the end, he left...but wanted Malice Mizer to continue. Just to mention, he visits Kami's grave every year on Kami's birthday and anniversary of his death. He is also very close to Kami's parents, and he still visits them a lot. Over the years, Gackt has made quite a name for himself. Some love him, some hate him. I, personally believe that he's one of the most talented people in the world. Compared to many artists, he hasn't really "sold out". I really respect him a lot, if you can't tell already ^_~
